Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our dedicated team at a leading tree service company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating excavators safely and efficiently to support various tree removal, landscaping, and site preparation projects. This role requires a valid CDL Class A license and experience working with tree service equipment, ensuring precise handling of machinery in diverse work environments. Duties Operate excavators to assist with tree removal, land clearing, and site preparation tasks. Safely maneuver heavy machinery in confined or challenging work sites, adhering to all safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to plan and execute project objectives efficiently. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on excavators to ensure optimal operation. Assist with loading, unloading, and positioning materials as needed for various projects. Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a secure work environment. Support additional tasks related to tree services, including debris removal and site cleanup. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license is required. Proven experience operating excavators in a construction or tree service setting. Familiarity with tree removal equipment and techniques is highly preferred. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy machinery operation. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high safety standards.
