In this role, you will lead land preparation activities, operate heavy machinery with precision, and oversee site development operations to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality project delivery. Your expertise will drive the successful transformation of raw land into a fully functional recreational vehicle park, managing both equipment and team members to meet project goals efficiently. This position offers an energetic environment where proactive leadership and technical skills come together to create exceptional outdoor spaces. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders to perform land clearing, grading, excavation, and site preparation tasks. Lead and supervise a team of construction workers and equipment operators, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed on schedule. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and site plans to accurately execute land development activities aligned with project specifications. Manage daily construction activities, coordinate with project managers, and ensure adherence to project schedules using construction management software like Primavera P6 or ProCore. Conduct quality control inspections to verify work meets safety standards (OSHA compliance), design specifications, and industry best practices. Oversee site logistics including material handling, equipment maintenance, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment. Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients to resolve technical issues related to land clearing, pipeline installation, or site layout using tools such as Ohmmeter for electrical testing. Assist in budgeting efforts by tracking labor hours and equipment usage; prepare reports on progress and potential delays or hazards. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations by conducting regular safety meetings and inspections. Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment in land clearing or site development projects. Supervisory experience managing construction crews on large-scale projects like RV parks or similar developments. Strong understanding of construction management software such as Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or ProCore for scheduling and documentation purposes. Familiarity with construction estimating tools like HeavyBid for cost tracking and resource planning. Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes. Hands-on experience with pipeline installation or earthworks related to site development projects. OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is required; additional certifications in construction management are a plus.
