Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Equipment Operator with a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for site preparation and site restoration services involved in powerline maintenance and construction projects. Equipment operator must be experienced with operating a skid steer and dozer experience is preferred. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and takes pride in high-quality workmanship. Essential Job Functions Operate equipment safely, efficiently and within the equipment's operating capabilities to ensure job specifications and deadlines are met. Operate commercial vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws. Safely transport equipment and materials to and from job sites. Perform manual labor including, but not limited to, fence builds, gate installations and weedeating. Load and unload equipment from trailers used to transport it. Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading and unloading areas. Perform job site safety procedures to set up and maintain safe work area at all times. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and trailers. Perform routine inspections, basic maintenance, and repairs on vehicles, trailers, equipment and power tools. Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure operational efficiency and safety compliance. Qualifications and Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL Class A or B, as required). Minimum two years operating a skid steer in construction or utility environments. Strong understanding of job site safety practices and regulations. Ability to read maps and operate GPS. Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with other workers on job sites and customers. Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic. Ability to pass a drug test, MVR check and background check. Working Environment and Conditions Prolonged periods of operating equipment. Able to work long periods including evenings and weekends when necessary. Operate in a variety of environments and weather conditions, including remote and rugged terrain. Able to work on slopes and uneven terrains. This position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs or more.
