Cusseta Laundry Job Description:
The includes job functions such as operating a van or box truck to pick-up and deliver linens. The Driver must count all linens and load laundry carts into box truck using lift gate. Basic requirements for application include the following:
Responsibilities:
  • Drive and operate light duty box truck to perform pickup and drop-off operations for laundered items
Skills/Abilities:
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work with hands
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Adherence to safety requirements and procedures as directed
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Ability to work both in teams, and / or independently
  • Ability to perform tasks in an efficient manner
  • Ability to arrive at work on time daily
  • Effective communication with supervisor and peers
  • Ability to use machines and automated equipment (Forklift, Steam Press, Flatironer, Washers / Dryers, etc.
) Driver Skills /
Abilities:
  • Ability to lift / push minimum 50 lbs
  • Skill to manage linen counts
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Basic vehicle maintenance including checking oil, tires, re-fueling, and washing your assigned route vehicle
Experience/Credentials and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in an industrial / assembly operation preferred
  • Must be over the age of 18
  • Must have a valid drivers license for Truck Driver position
  • Must be able to pass background check
  • Must have excellent driving record We are currently looking to fill one position for Truck Driver for Cusseta Laundry.
Previous experience may be substituted with educational / vocational training equivalent. Compensation is based on the federal pay scale. Our hours of operation are from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday. This route is three times weekly, with the exception of federal Holidays. This position will be full time, with benefits included (Health & Welfare Hours, Vacation, Paid Sick Leave). A Drug test will be required for chosen candidate. We retain the right to reject a candidate if they do not agree to comply with our corporate policies and procedures. Use of cellphones while on the clock will not be tolerated.
