Job Overview Clearpath Hydro Excavation, Inc. is seeking a motivated and experienced CDL Driver to drive and operate our Hydrovac Truck, a specialized piece of heavy equipment used for excavation and construction projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on dynamic construction sites, providing essential services such as excavation, potholing, and debris removal. As a CDL Driver for our Hydrovac Truck, you will be responsible for safely transporting and operating the truck while supporting various construction activities. Your mechanical knowledge and expertise with heavy equipment will be vital in ensuring efficient project completion and maintaining safety standards across all job sites. Job Description/ Responsibilities Transport the hydrovac truck to and from construction sites following all traffic laws and safety regulations. Operate the Hydrovac Truck, including water pressure system, vacuum systems, and related equipment to perform excavation tasks. We will train you for this. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment, ensuring proper functioning of pumps, hoses, tanks, and controls. Assist with the setup of excavation sites by coordinating with site managers and other heavy machinery operators. Maintain accurate logs of work performed, vehicle maintenance, and safety checks; report any mechanical issues immediately. Adhere to all safety protocols on-site, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), hazard awareness, and incident reporting. When not on a hydrovac job, you will be supporting our other business doing horizontal directional drilling support and general labor. We do not have set shifts. We start at 5:30am and have the opportunity to get 40 hours per week. Full Time M-F Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a drug test prior to and throughout employment. Clean background check for working on high profile job sites. Reliable Transportation to Bold Springs, GA by 5:30am daily M-F. Must live within 45 minutes of Bold Springs, GA. Ability to work outside in the elements (hot, cold, rain, etc.)
CPHE DOES NOT HANDLE HAZARDOUS OR SEWAGE.
Perform basic physical requirements like walking, lifting up to 50lbs, and using a shovel. Must be teachable and open to learning new techniques. Experience operating Hydrovac trucks or similar heavy equipment in construction environments is helpful but not required. Mechanical knowledge of hydraulic systems, pumps, tanks, and related machinery components is helpful but not required. Hands-on experience with excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, tanker trucks or horizontal drilling equipment is highly desirable but not required. Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on heavy equipment and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues is helpful but not required.
