Job Description

CDL Enhancement:
$10,000.00 Operates front-end loader and dump trucks, gooseneck trailer, Bobcat with multiple attachments, and steel drum roller Transports heavy construction equipment to job sites. Inspects equipment before use to ensure necessary repairs are made. Inspects job sites for possible hazards. Ensures proper equipment maintenance; performs minor repairs as necessary. Assists in the maintenance, repair, and clean-up of rights-of-way, streets, sidewalks, and guardrails; enforces safe work practices. Assists supervisor and crew chief in the scheduling and documentation of work; completes daily work reports; ensures that operators complete daily vehicle and equipment inspection reports. Sets up traffic control devices around work sites. Operates radio in accordance with proper radio protocol. Responds to emergency situations during and after normal work hours. Performs other related duties as assigned. High school diploma or GED, with two (2) years of heavy equipment operation and maintenance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess and maintain a valid state commercial driver's license. Additional Requirements Background investigation, including a supervised drug screen, post-offer/pre-employment medical screen, and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment. Knowledge of the repair and maintenance of assigned vehicles and equipment. Skill in establishing priorities and organizing work. Skill in the operation of maintenance tools and equipment. Skill in oral and written communication.
