This position is responsible for operating pavement-marking equipment used to apply durable roadway markings on highways, streets, and other projects. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, comfortable operating large equipment, and able to work effectively as part of a roadway construction crew. Responsibilities Operate a pavement-marking truck and related equipment safely and efficiently. Apply pavement markings according to project plans, specifications, and DOT requirements. Set up, operate, monitor, and make adjustments to pavement-marking equipment during application. Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance. Troubleshoot minor equipment and application issues in the field. Load and handle pavement-marking materials and supplies. Assist with equipment setup, cleanup, and preparation between projects. Maintain accurate material and project records as required. Follow all company, DOT, and jobsite safety procedures. Work closely with crew members, supervisors, and other operators to complete projects safely and on schedule. Assist with other pavement-marking and construction duties as needed. Qualifications Previous experience operating construction, pavement-marking, striping, or similar heavy equipment preferred. Experience with durable pavement-marking systems is highly preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required. CDL preferred . Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment in the field. Ability to understand and follow project plans, specifications, and instructions. Must be dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and roadway conditions. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting, bending, standing, and working around construction equipment. Schedule & Travel This position requires flexibility based on project and construction schedules. Candidates must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. Travel and overnight stays may be required depending on project location.
