Our company is currently seeking an equipment operator. Class A CDL and equipment experience is required. Must be able to lift 55 pounds and stand for extended periods of time. Approximately 40-60 hours weekly.
Responsibilities:
Perform manual labor such as digging and heavy lifting. Carry equipment, supplies, and other materials. Communicate with coworkers in order to coordinate work activities. Operate heavy construction machinery including excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks to perform excavation, grading, and utility installation tasks. Drive commercial trucks for transporting materials, equipment, and personnel safely across construction sites and between locations. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Assist with construction utility work by locating underground utilities accurately using utility locating equipment and following safety protocols. Support site preparation activities by performing construction grading and site clearing tasks with precision. Follow all federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with project managers and crew members to coordinate equipment operation efficiently while adhering to project timelines. Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators , dozers, graders, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks in a construction setting. Strong background in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred. Knowledge of construction utility work including utility locating techniques and underground infrastructure safety standards. Familiarity with federal safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and construction site safety procedures. Mechanical aptitude for performing routine maintenance on heavy machinery to ensure longevity and safe operation. Construction site experience demonstrating the ability to work efficiently in various environments while maintaining high safety standards. Ability to interpret construction plans and execute tasks such as excavation, grading, and utility installation accurately. Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 60.0 per week
