Responsibilities:
Operate carbon block extrusion equipment according to established production procedures. Set up, start, monitor, and shut down extrusion equipment safely. Monitor extrusion processes to ensure product dimensions, density, appearance, and quality specifications are met. Conduct routine quality checks and document production results. Identify process abnormalities and communicate issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel promptly. Assist with clearing jams and troubleshooting minor equipment issues following approved procedures. Support changeovers between products, formulations, and production runs. Maintain accurate production, downtime, scrap, and quality records. Handle raw materials and finished products safely using proper material handling techniques. Assist with carbon mixing, material staging, and movement of products throughout the department. Maintain housekeeping standards and support 5S initiatives. Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines. Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction. Cross-train in related carbon block manufacturing processes as assigned. Verify products meet established specifications and work instructions. Perform visual inspections and dimensional checks, and report any concerns promptly. Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred Manufacturing experience preferred Experience operating industrial machinery or production equipment preferred Ability to follow work instructions and production schedules Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills Ability to adapt to changing production priorities Stand and walk for extended periods Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds Manufacturing environment with exposure to carbon dust, production machinery, and varying temperatures. Rotating duties and overtime may be required based on production needs. #LI-JE1 Education Preferred Some college or better High School or better
