Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator/Crew Foreman to lead construction projects with energy and precision. In this role, you will operate a variety of heavy machinery, oversee daily site activities, and ensure safety compliance across all operations. Your expertise will drive project success by maintaining equipment, coordinating team efforts, and adhering to strict safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your construction knowledge while leading a team toward efficient and safe project completion. Duties Operate heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, water trucks, and Caterpillar equipment to perform excavation, grading, utility work, and site preparation tasks. Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. Lead a crew of construction workers, assigning tasks and supervising daily operations to meet project deadlines efficiently. Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to plan work sequences, monitor progress, and address any on-site issues promptly. Perform utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation or construction activities commence. Ensure all work complies with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to maintain a secure work environment. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance logs, and safety inspections in accordance with construction site protocols. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, water trucks, and similar equipment in a construction environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, and construction machinery troubleshooting. Demonstrated ability to lead a team as a Crew Foreman or supervisor on construction sites. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving; experience with water trucks is a plus. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation. Construction site experience including utility work, grading, excavation, and utility locating techniques. Mechanical knowledge of Caterpillar equipment or similar brands preferred. Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 50.0 per week
