Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator/Truck Driver to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of construction machinery and commercial trucks to support excavation, grading, paving, and utility work projects. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and precise operation of heavy equipment while adhering to all safety regulations and maintenance protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and construction experience to help deliver quality results on time and within safety standards. Duties Operate heavy construction machinery including excavators, loaders, graders, backhoes, water trucks, and dump trucks to perform excavation, grading, paving, and utility installation tasks Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety procedures Assist with construction utility work by locating underground utilities using specialized equipment and following federal safety regulations Support construction site activities by performing site preparation, grading, and backfilling operations with precision and efficiency Follow all equipment safety procedures and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members Collaborate with project managers and crew members to execute tasks according to project specifications and timelines Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety inspections Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators (including Caterpillar), loaders, graders, backhoes, water trucks, and dump trucks in a construction environment Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record for commercial truck driving duties Strong mechanical knowledge for routine maintenance and troubleshooting of construction equipment Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures Construction site experience with utility locating, excavation, grading, paving, and utility work preferred Ability to operate multiple types of construction machinery safely and efficiently Knowledge of construction grading techniques and water truck operation is a plus Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately Join us in building something great!
