As a nationwide recruiter, I've got an Overhead Crane client in need of a Parts Specialist, in the Chicago metro area. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity, in this specific geographic location! The ideal Parts Specialist candidate already lives in the area and brings knowledge of Overhead Crane and Hoist parts! Below, are both the minimum requirements and the highly preferred requirements.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Experience sourcing, purchasing, or expediting parts in a mechanical, electrical, industrial, automotive, or heavy-equipment setting. Able to interpret technical specs, part descriptions, and supplier quotes with a high degree of accuracy. Comfortable learning and working within an ERP/business system alongside standard Windows applications. Strong organizational and data-entry skills, with the persistence to track down hard-to-find parts. Clear, professional communicator who can juggle multiple urgent requests in a fast-moving environment.
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
Parts background tied to overhead crane, hoist, lifting/material-handling equipment, industrial mechanical, or electrical service work. Familiarity with components such as motors, brakes, controls, contactors, wire rope, chain, bearings, or gearboxes. Prior use of an ERP (e.g., Acumatica) or purchasing/inventory/service-order platform. Experience supporting field technicians within a service-based organization. Comfort navigating manufacturer catalogs and industrial supplier resources. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Valid driver's license (driving to site and regional travel required) I.G.
