Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a skilled and dependable Equipment Operator to join our field crew. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy machinery for residential and commercial projects, including septic installations, sewer repairs, demolitions. You will be responsible for the safe operation of equipment and ensuring projects are completed to grade and on schedule. Duties Safely operate excavators, backhoes, skid steers, and dump trucks. Dig trenches for sewer lines, excavate septic tanks/leach fields, and perform site grading according to blueprints or markings. Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance (greasing, fluid checks) to keep equipment in top working order. Assist with manual labor and ground-level tasks as needed to ensure project completion. Adhere to all OSHA and company safety standards to ensure a zero-accident job site. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members Requirements Proven construction site experience operating heavy machinery in diverse environments Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as Caterpillar machinery and farm-related machinery Skilled in operating various construction equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, etc Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on machinery and troubleshoot minor issues Physical stamina to handle long hours on-site with the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
