In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating overhead cranes to move heavy materials and equipment across construction sites, warehouses, or industrial facilities. Your expertise in crane operation, load handling procedures, and safety protocols will ensure efficient workflow and a secure environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety and precision. Responsibilities Operate overhead cranes with precision, adhering strictly to load handling procedures and safety regulations. Safely lift, move, and position heavy materials, equipment, and supplies across various work areas. Conduct routine inspections of crane equipment, including hydraulics, rigging gear, safety devices, and load securing rigging methods. Follow established safety protocols and OSHA safety standards during all crane operations and materials handling activities. Coordinate with team members to plan lifting sequences and ensure proper load securing techniques are applied. Maintain detailed logs of crane usage, load movements, inspections, and safety checks. Assist with setup and breakdown of lifting equipment such as forklifts, boom trucks, excavators, or other heavy machinery as needed. Qualifications Proven experience operating overhead cranes in construction or industrial environments. Strong mechanical knowledge of cranes, hydraulics, lifting equipment, and material handling tools. Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and implementation of OSHA safety standards. Ability to perform rigging tasks using appropriate load securing methods and rigging gear. Knowledge of materials handling procedures including shipping & receiving processes. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or equivalent certification is preferred for transporting equipment when necessary. Experience working on construction sites or warehouses with heavy equipment operation is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail, safety protocol adherence, and communication skills to ensure a safe working environment.
