Full-time, long-term projects Overview TalentLogistiX is hiring an Excavator Operator for a four-person wet utilities crew installing sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, and related structures. We're looking for an operator who understands pipe installation, communicates well with the ground crew, and takes pride in controlled, accurate production. Responsibilities Excavate trenches to the required line, width, and depth. Bottom the trench for bedding and pipe installation. Safely set trench boxes, pipe, and structures. Work closely with the foreman and pipelayer to maintain grade and production. Backfill in specified lifts while protecting installed pipe. Maintain safe swing and travel paths around workers, utilities, and traffic. Assist the ground crew outside the machine when needed. Qualifications Excavator experience on underground utility or pipe installation projects. Ability to work accurately around grade stakes, existing utilities, and active crews. Familiarity with trench boxes and excavation safety. Reliable transportation to the Carmel-area shop or designated job site. Loader experience or a CDL is a plus.
