We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to operate and maintain heavy machinery used in daily operations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment in a construction, aggregate, concrete, or industrial environment. Excavator experience is a plus. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate heavy equipment to move, load, unload, grade, and position materials as directed. Operate equipment such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, and other heavy machinery as assigned. Excavator operating experience is a plus. Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and report any safety concerns, damage, or mechanical issues. Check equipment fluid levels and perform basic maintenance as needed. Keep equipment clean and free of excessive dirt, debris, concrete buildup, and other materials. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist with general labor duties as needed, including sweeping, shoveling, cleanup, and assisting other departments. Follow all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and supervisor instructions. Operate equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining awareness of surrounding employees, vehicles, and equipment. Assist other team members and departments as needed to maintain workflow and meet production goals. Report to work as scheduled and complete assigned work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner. Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other areas to cover absences, provide relief, or balance workloads. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Previous heavy equipment operating experience preferred. Experience operating an excavator is a plus . Ability to safely operate heavy machinery in a busy work environment. Strong awareness of workplace safety and surroundings. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to take direction from supervisors and management. Dependable, organized, and self-motivated. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to assist with general labor and other duties as needed. Basic understanding of equipment inspections and routine maintenance. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work is primarily outdoors and may involve exposure to extreme temperatures, moisture, dust, dirt, noise, and changing weather conditions. Must be able to work safely in an outdoor industrial/construction environment. Must be able to climb onto and off heavy equipment. Must be able to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, bending, lifting, shoveling, and sweeping. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Must be able to tolerate frequent exposure to varying weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation. #3465
