Full-Time Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to support a variety of construction projects. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and backhoes to assist with site preparation, material handling, and project execution. The ideal candidate has strong technical ability, situational awareness, and a commitment to maintaining a safe job site.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, and backhoes Perform grading, trenching, digging, and material movement according to project specifications Conduct pre-operation and post-operation equipment inspections Identify and report mechanical issues or maintenance needs Work closely with site supervisors and crew members to complete tasks efficiently Follow site plans, grade stakes, and verbal instructions Ensure safe operation around utilities, structures, and other workers Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage and activities Assist with general labor duties when equipment operation is not required Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards

Qualifications:

Experience operating heavy construction equipment Knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures Ability to read and interpret site plans and grade stakes preferred Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred depending on equipment

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods while operating machinery Ability to climb in and out of equipment multiple times per day Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions
