Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support excavation, grading, paving, utility work, and other construction activities. Your expertise will ensure the safe, efficient, and precise execution of projects while adhering to all safety regulations and industry standards. Duties
• You MUST be able to read, follow and execute commercial site plans including
STORM INSTALLATION, GRADING AND ANY OTHER TASK FOLLOWING SITE PLANS.
Operate heavy construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers (dozers), loaders, graders, backhoes, water trucks, dump trucks, and tankers with precision and safety consciousness. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Execute excavation tasks, site grading, utility locating, and construction utility work according to project specifications. Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe work environment. Assist with construction operations and support various site activities such as soil compaction and material transport. Collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other crew members to coordinate equipment use and project timelines. Adhere strictly to safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with OSHA standards. Experience
YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH READING AND EXECUTING COMMERCIAL SITE PLANS AND RUNNING A JOBSITE TO BE
CONSIDERED, Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators (including Caterpillar models), dozers, loaders, graders, backhoes, water trucks, dump trucks, and tankers in a construction setting. Strong knowledge of construction grading techniques and excavation procedures. Familiarity with construction utility work including utility locating and installation support. Mechanical knowledge for routine maintenance and troubleshooting of construction machinery. Demonstrated understanding of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures. Prior experience working on infrastructure projects or commercial sites is
REQUIRED
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving is advantageous.
