Job Details:
Boone Quarry - Rogers Group Inc - Verona, KY Full-Time Day shift Wages starting at $23.00/hr. for entry level candidates. Candidates with mining experience will be preferred. Pay will be determined based on experience. Boone Quarry is an underground limestone mine/quarry seeking candidates to fill our need for an underground Pit Loader Operator in Verona, KY . The successful candidate for this role will operate a front-end loader, effectively communicate with management, other operators, and help maintain a safe work environment. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to: Learning and understanding our safety culture and implementing all of Rogers Group's safety principles without compromise Safely and efficiently operate a wheeled front-end loader in an underground environment to load haul trucks, feed material to the primary crusher, and/or manage stockpiles. Inspect, clean, and perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment (fluids, grease points, tires, lights, etc.). Communicate with management, plant operators, and other equipment operators to maintain steady production flow. May be called upon at the discretion of the supervisor in charge to perform any other duties assigned and/or to assist with other areas as necessary
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required General mechanical knowledge is a plus. Must be able to safely climb up and down ladders or steps to mount or dismount equipment using three points of contact. Must be able stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time throughout the workday, as required to perform additional job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to maintain safe working conditions Self-starter/ ability to work without close supervision Previous experience working in a mining environment preferred Must pass pre-employment drug screening Overtime is required as needed and may include Saturdays Rogers Group provides extensive benefits, strong compensation, and a safe, drug-free working environment.
