Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Track Hoe Operator and play a vital role in executing excavation and earth-moving projects with precision and efficiency. As a key player on-site, you will operate heavy machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, and water trucks to facilitate construction activities. Your expertise will ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, contributing to infrastructure development and utility installation while adhering strictly to safety regulations. Duties Operate track hoe excavators and other heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, graders, backhoes, and water trucks to perform excavation, grading, and utility work. Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety procedures. Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently during all operations. Assist with construction utility work by locating underground utilities using utility locating techniques before excavation begins. Support construction site activities by performing tasks such as site clearing, trenching, backfilling, and grading to meet project specifications. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance logs, and safety inspections in accordance with company policies. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to coordinate machinery operation schedules and ensure smooth workflow. Skills Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery including excavators (Caterpillar preferred), dozers, loaders, graders, backhoes, and water trucks. Strong knowledge of construction utility work and excavation techniques. Ability to perform routine maintenance on construction equipment and identify mechanical issues promptly. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and adherence to all safety protocols on-site. Skilled in construction grading, site preparation, and utility locating methods. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
