PAY:
Starting at $28 but can be negotiated at a higher rate depending on experience, skill and proficiency. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team on our construction sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with bulldozers, and will be responsible for moving earth, grading land, and assisting in various construction tasks. The role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals. Duties Operate Excavator loaders to perform tasks on construction sites. Move earth, grade surfaces, and prepare sites for building projects. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance. Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate work activities. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety regulations. Assist in the operation of additional equipment as needed, including water trucks and dump trucks. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately. Requirements Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically as a bulldozer operator. Familiarity with operating other machinery such as tankers, backhoes, loaders, and water trucks is preferred. Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is a plus. Ability to read blueprints and understand construction plans. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site. Physical stamina and strength to handle demanding tasks associated with construction work. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
