Job Description
HPC Industrial powered by Clean Harbors is seeking an IS Technician II to support industrial facilities in the Utilities & Energy sector. This role installs, configures, and maintains PCs, mobile devices, printers, and networked equipment used in field and plant operations. Responsibilities include user support, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, asset tracking, basic network checks, and coordinating repairs with vendors. You will follow strict safety and operational procedures while working in active industrial environments and occasionally in the field. This position offers strong safety training, growth into senior or specialist roles, and exposure to major energy clients. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and mobile devices for plant and field users Provide Tier I/II technical support for hardware, software, and peripheral issues Perform basic network connectivity checks and escalate complex issues to senior IT staff Maintain asset inventory, equipment tracking, and documentation of changes Coordinate vendor repairs and warranty service for IT hardware Support deployment of standard images, software updates, and security patches Ensure adherence to safety, security, and operational procedures in industrial environments Assist with setup of IT equipment for new projects, turnarounds, and temporary field sites Monitor ticketing queues and meet defined response and resolution times Collaborate with operations teams to minimize downtime during maintenance and repairs Required Skills Desktop and laptop hardware support Windows operating systems administration Basic TCP/IP networking and Wi-Fi troubleshooting Mobile device configuration and support Printer and peripheral setup and maintenance IT ticketing systems (e.g., Service Now, Jira, Remedy) Software deployment and imaging tools Endpoint security and antivirus tools Hardware and software asset management Technical documentation and user support
