Qualifications:
A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred Minimum of three years of heavy civil construction experience preferred Experience with hydraulic, friction, and pile driving preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Promotes, executes and adheres to the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental program. Operates multiple pieces of construction equipment used in underground construction, base preparation and construction, and paving. Operates all heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Performs daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment. Conducts pre-operational checks on equipment as well as cleans, lubricates, and refills the equipment as necessary. Fills out the pre-use inspection form prior to operating equipment. Maneuvers heavy equipment into loading and unloading positions. Follows signals from loading crew as needed. Checks that the vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned. Ensures a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance. Uses various pieces of equipment to perform fine grading and finishing, sloping and banking, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating and stockpiling. Operates equipment on public roadways as necessary, maintaining proper awareness of one's surroundings. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the equipment. Performs other duties or tasks as required based on company's needs. Must be able to pass DISA drug screen and physical. Must be US Resident.
