Job Description

Bucket Truck Operator Jack Harper Electrical (JHE) is the Gulf Coast Region's leading highway electrical contractor specializing in traffic signals, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), roadway lighting, and decorative lighting. We are looking for a motivated Bucket Truck Operator to join our team and support the installation, maintenance, and repair of transportation and electrical infrastructure projects. If you have experience operating bucket trucks, aerial lifts, or line construction equipment and are committed to safe, high-quality work, we'd like to hear from you. What You'll Do Safely operate bucket trucks and aerial lift equipment on roadway and electrical construction projects. Install, maintain, and repair traffic signals, streetlights, ITS equipment, and related infrastructure. Work safely at heights and in various weather conditions. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment. Drive company vehicles and equipment to and from job sites. Operate equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and company safety standards. Load, unload, transport, and secure materials, tools, and equipment. Support traffic control operations, including flagging when required. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on assigned equipment. Assist field crews with installation, construction, and maintenance activities. Maintain required PPE, tools, and safety equipment. Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and required training programs. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Minimum age of 21 to operate company vehicles. Ability to safely operate a bucket truck, aerial lift, or demonstrate similar construction equipment experience. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift, carry, climb, and perform physically demanding work. Strong commitment to safety and teamwork. Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report (MVR), and frequent drug screenings (to include marijuana). Bonus Experience (Not required) Experience in traffic signal, roadway lighting, electrical, telecommunications, utility, or infrastructure construction. Experience operating excavators, skid steers, forklifts, or telehandlers. Traffic control and flagging experience. Additional Advantage CDL Class A or Class B is a strong plus and highly valued, but not required. Candidates with a CDL may have opportunities for additional responsibilities and equipment operation.
