DRIVE WITH THE BEST. RECOVER WHAT OTHERS CAN'T. A
loaded tractor-trailer rolls over. A commercial vehicle leaves the roadway. A heavy truck goes down in the worst possible place. When the situation is too big for an ordinary tow, the heavy recovery operator gets the call. That's where you come in. Interstate Towing is hiring experienced Heavy-Duty Wrecker & Recovery Operators who know how to handle serious equipment, complicated scenes, and the responsibility that comes with both. We want operators who can rig it, winch it, recover it, and clear it safely — without cutting corners. If you can run heavy and recover clean, we want to talk.
THIS ISN'T JUST TOWING. THIS IS HEAVY RECOVERY.
You're not spending your shift moving cars from parking lots. You'll respond to the calls that require experience, judgment, and real recovery skill. Tractor-Trailer Recoveries Heavy-Duty Wreckers ️ Rotator Operations Winching & Rigging Rollovers & Uprighting ️ Commercial Vehicle Recoveries Complex Accident Scenes ️ Breakdowns & Heavy Transport Every scene is different. That's exactly why experience matters.
RIG IT RIGHT. RECOVER IT CLEAN. CLEAR THE SCENE.
When the call comes in, you'll work with Dispatch to understand the situation, get the right equipment rolling, and handle the recovery professionally from arrival through completion.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Respond to Dispatch and arrive safely, prepared, and ready to work Operate heavy-duty wreckers, rotators, and recovery equipment Recover tractors, trailers, commercial vehicles, and heavy equipment from accidents, breakdowns, rollovers, and difficult recovery scenes Perform winching, rigging, lifting, uprighting, and recovery operations Evaluate the scene and determine a safe, effective recovery approach Transport recovered vehicles to customer destinations, repair facilities, or impound yards Inspect your truck and equipment before and after use Perform preventive maintenance and immediately report defects or mechanical concerns Maintain accurate paperwork and clean recovery documentation Follow all applicable size, weight, route, hours-of-service, DOT, and company safety requirements Communicate clearly with Dispatch, customers, law enforcement, first responders, and other personnel on scene Represent Interstate professionally every time you step out of the truck
THE EQUIPMENT IS BIG. THE JUDGMENT MATTERS MORE.
Anyone can look good when the recovery is easy. We're interested in what happens when it isn't. The angle is wrong. Traffic is backing up. Weather is getting worse. The equipment isn't sitting where you'd like it. The scene doesn't match the plan you had in your head. That's when a real recovery operator earns the title. We want someone who can slow down, assess the scene, rig intelligently, communicate clearly, and make the right call. No shortcuts. No ego. Just experienced operators doing difficult work the right way.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR THE MUST-HAVES
✓ Valid Class A CDL ✓ Proven experience operating heavy-duty wreckers ✓ Real-world heavy recovery experience ✓ Strong winching and rigging skills ✓ Experience handling rollovers and complex recoveries ✓ The judgment to adapt when a scene doesn't go according to plan ✓ Clean driving record with no recent moving or driving violations ✓ Comfortable using electronic equipment, dispatch systems, and telematics software ✓ Ability to work safely around traffic, weather, heavy equipment, and changing roadside conditions ✓ Strong communication and customer-service skills ✓ Dependability — when the call comes, we need you ready
KNOW YOUR WAY AROUND A ROTATOR?
EVEN BETTER.
If you have experience with:
️ Rotator Recoveries Advanced Rigging Tractor-Trailer Rollovers Heavy Commercial Recovery ️ Heavy Equipment Recovery Complex Incident Management Police / Fire / Highway Scene Coordination …we especially want to hear from you. The more recovery experience you bring, the more opportunity there is to put it to work.
ON THEIR WORST DAY... YOU'RE THE PERSON WHO SHOWS UP.
For the customer, something has gone very wrong. Their truck is down. Their load may be compromised. Traffic may be stopped. They may not know what happens next. You do. That means being calm. Being professional. Communicating clearly. Taking control of the recovery. And representing Interstate Towing like a professional from the moment you arrive until the scene is clear. You're not just recovering the truck. You're helping make a bad situation right.
