Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking motivated individuals for Light Duty Technician specializing in tow truck operations to join our dynamic team. We have training available to teach the skills needed to be a successful technician. In this role, you will be responsible for safely towing, recovering, and transporting vehicles using flatbed and traditional tow trucks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where customer service and safe vehicle handling are paramount. You will play a vital role in assisting with vehicle recoveries, towing services, and ensuring all cargo is secured according to protocols. Responsibilities Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to tow and recover vehicles safely and efficiently. Ensure vehicles are loaded and secured onto tow trucks following cargo securement protocols to prevent damage or accidents. Assist customers with vehicle-related inquiries, providing excellent customer service throughout the towing process. Provide excellent customer service with the ability to manage conflicts professionally when necessary. Follow safe vehicle loading procedures onto tow trucks, adhering to manual transmission operation standards and safety guidelines. Perform vehicle inspections prior to towing to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns that may impact transport. Maintain accurate records of all towing activities, including documentation of vehicle condition, load details, and recovery procedures. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license Pass a Pre Employment drug screening through a Convenient MD location. Mass DOT med certificate Preferred Experience in commercial truck driving and flatbed or tow truck operation Familiarity with cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading techniques on tow trucks. Knowledge of vehicle recovery towing procedures and car towing best practices is highly desirable. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely under various conditions.
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:
