Job Description
Snowcat Operator/Groomer Catamount Ski Resort is seeking a dedicated and experienced Snowcat Operator/Groomer to join our mountain operations team for the winter season. The ideal candidate is a safety- minded individual with a passion for creating exceptional ski conditions. This is a crucial role responsible for preparing our trails each night to ensure a high-quality, memorable experience for our guests every morning. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment, specifically a snowcat, to groom and maintain ski trails to the highest standard. Move, flatten, compact, and till snow to create ideal surfaces. Perform pre-trip inspections and regular maintenance checks on equipment, including checking fluid levels, track tension, and other critical components. Document and report any mechanical or safety issues to the maintenance team. Operate other vehicles such as snowmobiles and UTVs as needed. Work collaboratively with other departments and communicate effectively via a two- way radio. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Minimum of 2 year's experience operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers or other diesel/hydraulic machinery. Must be at least 18 years of age. Possess a valid driver's license with no restrictions. Comfortable working in a small team and independently. Must be able to sit for extended periods. Punctual and reliable, with the ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
