Bartlett and Steadman Co., Inc. is seeking a dependable and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of heavy equipment safely and efficiently and must hold a valid CDL. This role may include transporting equipment and materials to and from job sites, assisting with site work, and supporting the crew to ensure projects are completed safely and on schedule. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, skid steers, rollers, and other construction equipment Safely transport equipment and/or materials to and from job sites as needed Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations Assist with grading, excavation, trenching, backfilling, loading, and site preparation Read and follow site plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions Work closely with crew members to complete projects efficiently and on time Report equipment or vehicle issues promptly Maintain clean and safe equipment, vehicles, and work areas Qualifications Minimum [2-5+] years of heavy equipment operating experience Valid CDL required Clean driving record Experience hauling equipment and/or materials preferred Strong understanding of heavy equipment safety and operating procedures Ability to work outdoors in various weather and site conditions Reliable transportation Ability to lift up to [50] pounds and perform physical labor when needed Strong work ethic, dependability, and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications OSHA certification Experience in excavation, utility work, road construction, site development, or similar field Ability to read blueprints or grade stakes Experience with lowboy, dump truck, or trailer transport GPS/machine control experience Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off 401(k) / retirement plan Company-provided safety gear Opportunities for advancement Schedule Monday to Friday Weekends as needed Overtime available

$29.78 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
