Job Description

Senior Equipment Operator - Lead Equipment Operator Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Senior or Lead Equipment Operator at our Montgomery County Grinding Operation located in Derwood, MD. This position provides mainly commercial driving services for MES clients at various field locations. Responsibilities also include operating heavy equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, and forklifts.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from a standard high school or GED plus 3-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment. Commercial driving experience and experience operating walking floor trailers is strongly preferred. Must demonstrate proficiency with at least two types of heavy equipment. Must demonstrate working knowledge of the essential maintenance checks on multiple types of equipment including accessing compartments, hydraulic fluid levels, engine oil, coolant, grease points, etc. Must demonstrate the ability to work independently to execute job tasks. Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker endorsement. This position will be open until filled. Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successfully completing required pre-employment screens, to include full background check, drug & alcohol screening, and position appropriate physical.
