Job Description

Are you a hands-on leader who knows how to keep a team moving, operations running safely, and equipment working efficiently? Resources Waste is looking for a 2nd Shift Supervisor to lead our team in Lewiston, Maine! This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being out in the operation, leading people, solving problems, and operating heavy equipment (front end loaders and excavators). Schedule:
Monday-Friday:
2:00 PM-11:00 PM Rotating Saturday schedule (required)
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate activities to meet department objectives. Train personnel in accordance with Company policies and government regulations. Identify problems and implement corrective actions as required. Report on issues that require further action to management. Prepare appropriate reports, recommendations and maintain documentation as required. Fill out nightly reports of operation and send them to the managers. Ensure conformance to Company policies, procedures and standards, and compliance with government regulations. Complete performance appraisals and development plans for employees and provide necessary follow-up. Responsible for safety & compliance of operation during shift. Operate heavy equipment (excavator, front-end loader, etc.) Unloading of inbound vehicles, stacking, storing and feeding of C&D material Loading of outbound vehicles with recycled materials and residual waste Loading main process line in-feed conveyor and shearing bulky materials for processing. Management and stockpiling of all unprocessed and processed materials. Material transportation for processing. Loading main process line in-feed conveyor and shearing bulky materials for processing. Site maintenance and construction which may include ditching for erosion control and surface water collection, etc. Performing maintenance and light repair of company-owned or leased mobile equipment. Seasonal maintenance.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience with Heavy Equipment Loader/Excavator. Supervising experience; minimum 1 year; 3+ years preferredMust have the ability to exercise good judgment, be able to focus on detail as required by the job, as well as multitask. Work in a fast-paced environment, construction or recycling preferred High school diploma or equivalent Mechanical background a plus Ability to work 2nd shift hours M - F 2:00pm - 11:00pm as well as a rotating Saturday schedule.
