Job Description
Build Your Heavy Equipment Operating Career with Radius Recycling Earn $24.00-$27.00/hour Based on Experience Radius Recycling is looking for a reliable, safety-focused Equipment Operator to join our Portland, Maine team. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced equipment operators looking for stable, year-round employment and the chance to expand their skills operating a variety of heavy equipment. While we welcome applicants from a wide range of industrial backgrounds, we are particularly interested in candidates with excavator, demolition grappler, material handler, or other heavy equipment operating experience. Candidates who bring this experience may be eligible for compensation at the higher end of our pay range. Don't have crane experience? That's okay. We are willing to train the right candidates on our cranes, material handlers, and other specialized recycling equipment. What You'll Do Operate cranes, excavators, grapplers, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently Load, unload, sort, and move recyclable materials throughout the yard Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns Follow all company safety policies and procedures Support general yard and recycling operations as needed Work closely with team members to maintain safe and productive operations What We're Looking For High School Diploma or GED Excavator Experience Required Valid driver's license Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliability Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb on and off equipment Preferred Experience operating demolition grapplers, material handlers, loaders, cranes, forklifts, or other heavy equipment Experience in construction, demolition, recycling, manufacturing, transportation, agriculture, logging, or industrial environments Basic equipment inspection and preventive maintenance knowledge Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new equipment and operating techniques Compensation $24.00-$27.00/hour Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
