Overview Join our dynamic construction team as an Excavator/Equipment Operator and become a vital part of building infrastructure that shapes communities. In this energetic role, you will operate heavy machinery with precision, ensuring efficient excavation, grading, and utility work on diverse construction sites. Your expertise will help us maintain high safety standards while delivering quality results on time and within scope. Duties Operate excavators, loaders, dump trucks, water trucks, and other construction machinery safely and efficiently to perform excavation, grading, paving, and utility installation tasks Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety procedures Assist with construction utility work by locating underground utilities using specialized tools and techniques before excavation begins Support construction site activities by operating heavy equipment such as horizontal drilling rigs, tanker trucks, and Caterpillar machinery Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe working environment for all team members Collaborate with project managers and crew members to execute site plans accurately while adhering to construction grading specifications Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety inspections for compliance purposes Skills Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery including excavators, loaders, dump trucks, and water trucks Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance on construction equipment Familiarity with construction utility work such as utility locating and underground service detection Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications for excavation, grading, paving, and utility installation projects Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation Skilled in construction site experience with a focus on safety procedures and equipment maintenance protocols Competence in operating specialized machinery like horizontal drilling rigs and tankers for various project needs Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving preferred Ability to perform construction grading accurately using appropriate machinery tools Join us in building the future!
