Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled CDL Driver/ Hydrovac Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks and hydrovac equipment to support excavation, utility locating, and construction projects. Your expertise will ensure efficient project execution while adhering to all safety regulations and maintenance protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy machinery, contribute to construction utility work, and be a vital part of our infrastructure development efforts. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks, including Caterpillar and other heavy equipment, to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites. Operate hydrovac trucks for excavation tasks, utilizing high-pressure water and vacuum systems to expose utilities or create trenches. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and other utility equipment to ensure optimal performance. Assist with construction site activities including excavation and utility locating in compliance with federal construction safety regulations. Follow all safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation, equipment safety protocols, and construction site safety regulations. Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure timely delivery of materials and smooth workflow on-site. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, maintenance activities, and safety checks. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance on trucks and hydraulic systems. Experience with hydrovac operations including utility locating techniques using specialized tools and technology. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures. Construction site experience with familiarity in excavation, grading, utility work, and general construction activities. Ability to operate loaders, excavators, backhoes, and other heavy machinery efficiently and safely. Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues promptly. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members on busy job sites. Pay:
$33.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per weekBenefits:
