Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support construction projects, ensuring efficient and safe site operations. Duties Operate heavy machinery including, excavators. loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, and directional drills, to perform excavation, grading, material handling, and site preparation tasks Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance Follow all safety procedures and occupational safety regulations while operating machinery and handling materials Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites by moving materials, loading and unloading trucks, and preparing work areas Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently while adhering to project timelines and quality standards Utilize hand tools and hydraulics systems for minor repairs or adjustments on equipment as needed Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety checks for accountability and compliance purposes Skills CDL is encouraged but not necessary required Extensive experience operating construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, and directional drills. Strong knowledge of construction site safety procedures and occupational safety regulation compliance Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance on heavy equipment and hydraulic systems Familiarity with material handling equipment operation including forklifts and other related machinery Ability to use hand tools effectively for repairs or adjustments on-site Proven experience in construction site environments with a focus on safety protocols and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) use Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving preferred Join our team if you're passionate about operating heavy equipment safely while contributing to impactful construction projects. Pay:
$33.50 - $40.23 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 60.0 per week
