The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring safe and efficient project completion. This role requires mechanical knowledge, familiarity with construction equipment, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, to support large-scale construction projects. Duties Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other construction equipment in accordance with safety standards. Load and unload materials using front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, and roll-off trucks. Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling tasks. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Follow project plans and instructions from site supervisors to execute tasks efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use and project timelines. Operate specialized machinery such as concrete mixers and farm machinery when required for specific tasks. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, and excavators. Construction site experience is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on machinery. Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is advantageous. Ability to work safely in a fast-paced construction environment while following all safety regulations. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team. Physical ability to operate machinery for extended periods and perform manual tasks as needed. Pay:
$30.00 - $45.00 per hour
