Job Description
Nelson Sanitation & Rental, Inc. is a locally owned, well established, growing company. We are seeking outgoing professionals that have the desire to excel. A class B with a tanker endorsement is preferred and a clean driving record is required. The Full-Time Hydrovac Operator/Laborer position must pass a background check and be willing to get a valid medical card upon hire. Driving experience is preferred but not required. Main duties will include safely operating the on-board hydro-vacuum system outside the truck and perform other duties such as clean up, mobilization, and general maintenance of the equipment. Ability to climb, bend, sit, stoop, reach, stand, and crawl repetitively. Ability to work in all outdoor elements for an extended period of time. In addition, individuals must be able to reach above shoulders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Daily duties include but are not limited to: Perform daily safety checks, pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working order. Complete reports for any defective equipment. Operating and maintaining company work vehicle on a daily basis while keeping the inside and outside vehicle clean and organized at all times. Refuel trucks, check and add fluids as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and maintenance procedures. Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others. Follow project plans and specifications to complete excavation tasks accurately. Drive to disposal site to empty truck. Ability to drive truck safely through residential streets, alleys, and other residence or business areas following all driving laws and using seat belt at all times. Year round position or seasonal. Hours ranging 50 plus hours per week. Pay is competitive and based on experience ranging between $60,000-$120,000+ per year.
