Job Summary:
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery to support construction, excavation, material handling, and site preparation activities. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, equipment care, and teamwork while performing work in accordance with company policies, project specifications, and applicable regulations.Other Requirements:
All candidates are required to pass a thorough Background Check, Physical and Drug Test. References may also be checked. We participate in E-Verify.Job Duties & Requirements:

Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, graders, backhoes, skid steers, articulated dump trucks, and similar machinery. Perform earthmoving, trenching, grading, loading, and material placement activities as directed. Inspect equipment before, during, and after use to ensure safe operation and report mechanical issues or safety concerns. Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks such as greasing, fueling, and cleaning equipment. Follow all safety procedures, traffic control plans, and site‑specific rules. Read and interpret basic plans, grade stakes, and verbal or written instructions. Work cooperatively with supervisors, spotters, laborers, and other team members. Maintain awareness of surroundings to avoid hazards to people, utilities, structures, and equipment. Complete required documentation, inspections, or equipment logs as assigned. Support jobsite housekeeping and assist with manual labor as needed. Follow company and industry safety standards and procedures at all times.Preferred Education and Experience:
Previous experience operating heavy equipment in construction, excavation, or related industries. Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus but not required).
