Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsibilities Operate a wide range of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other machinery to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material handling tasks. Safely operate specialized vehicles such as concrete mixers, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, and tankers to transport materials across job sites. Conduct routine inspections of equipment before and after use to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained. Assist with site preparation by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up construction zones in accordance with project specifications. Collaborate with team members to execute construction plans efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and environmental regulations. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and daily job site activities. Support other construction tasks as needed to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and similar machinery. Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with various types of heavy equipment operation in diverse environments. Mechanical knowledge related to the maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy machinery to minimize downtime. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or equivalent certification for operating large vehicles like dump trucks or tanker trucks. Knowledge of construction safety practices and ability to follow strict safety guidelines on active sites. Experience working with Caterpillar (CAT) equipment or similar brands is preferred but not required. Ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs while maintaining high safety standards.
