Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Excavator Operator to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating excavators and other heavy machinery to perform excavation, grading, and utility work on various construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with all safety regulations and industry standards. Duties Operate excavators to open trench and lay Conduit for fiber optic installations. This role includes setting Handholes and cleaning up excavated areas. Including but not limited to hand Digging, hand raking, picking up rocks, spreading top soil or gravel, and spreading grass seed and straw. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times during operations Assist with construction utility work, including utility locating and trenching to support infrastructure development Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance logs, and project progress reports Adhere strictly to safety regulations and site protocols to ensure a secure work environment for all personnel Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment Knowledge of construction utility work, excavation techniques, and site grading processes Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures Ability to perform basic mechanical maintenance on construction machinery Valid driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving preferred Strong understanding of construction site operations and safety standards Construction experience involving heavy equipment operation is essential Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards Join our team today to be part of innovative projects that shape communities!
