Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Service Plumber/Plumber with a minimum of 2 years experience as an operator to join our Springfield team. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing plumbing systems in residential and light commercial environments. As a primary point of contact for our customers, you will uphold the "Reed's Standard" by providing transparent communication, upfront pricing, and top-tier technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities Service & Repair:
Diagnose and resolve issues with leaks, broken pipes, clogged drains, and malfunctioning fixtures. Must be able to cut, weld, and assemble pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures. Inspecting and testing plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance Must be able to read blueprints and drawings to plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal, and water systems. Must be able to perform basic plumbing installations or repairs, such as replacing or installing faucets, water lines, etc.
Advanced Diagnostics:
Perform sewer camera inspections and utilize high-pressure hydro-jetting to clear complex blockages.
Installs & Upgrades:
Install and service water heaters (traditional and tankless), garbage disposals, water softeners, and a variety of kitchen/bathroom fixtures.
Specialized Systems:
Assist with gas line repairs/installations and work alongside our excavation team for lateral line repairs or septic system services.
Customer Excellence:
Provide a "customer-first" experience by explaining repairs clearly, providing upfront pricing, and maintaining a clean workspace.
Emergency Service:
Participate in a fair on-call rotation to provide our community with the 24/7 reliability they've trusted since 1972.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used via our mobile dispatching software. Excavator & Backhoe Operator Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment Prepare job sites by cleaning and organizing materials Operation of heavy equipment Follow instructions from supervisors and team leads Assist with installation, demolition, or setup as required Maintain a clean and safe work environment Perform routine maintenance on equipment Move, lift, carry, and place heavy objects Comply with company safety policies and procedures Be polite and respectful of clients and their homes at all times. Performs other duties as assigned. Flexibility to work overtime, on-call, and weekends, as required.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
2+ years of experience in residential or commercial plumbing service.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of operational experience
Licensing:
Valid Journeyman or Master Plumber license is a strong plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with drain cleaning equipment, pipe-threading tools, and basic excavation knowledge.
Driving:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required to operate company service vehicles).
Physical Ability:
Must be able to lift 75+ lbs , work in crawl spaces/attics, and stand for extended periods.
Flexibility:
Ability to work overtime, on-call, and weekends, as required.
