(LMI) is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing Construction Department serving Charlotte and surrounding areas throughout North Carolina. If you're looking for a job where you sit in a machine all day, this isn't it. We're looking for a construction professional who can confidently operate heavy equipment when needed, but isn't afraid to climb out of the cab, grab a shovel, help the crew, install conduit, set poles, pull wire, pour concrete, or do whatever it takes to finish the job safely and on schedule. Equipment You'll Operate Skid steers Excavators Digger derricks Cranes Trenchers Mini excavators Forklifts and telehandlers Other construction equipment as needed What You'll Be Doing Excavating trenches and foundations Setting light poles and concrete bases Operating digger derricks and cranes to unload and install poles Backfilling, grading, and site restoration Assisting with underground electrical installations Loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment Performing daily equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance Working alongside electricians and construction crews to complete projects safely and efficiently Traveling to projects throughout North Carolina as required What We're Looking For Experience operating multiple types of heavy construction equipment Safe, productive operator with a strong work ethic Willingness to perform physical construction work when equipment isn't needed Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Strong attention to safety and quality Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Valid driver's license with a clean driving record CDL is a strong plus and may be required depending on the assignment Why Join LMI?
