Key responsibilities include leading crews, maintaining safety, reading blueprints, performing equipment maintenance, and completing necessary project reports.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Training:
Lead, train, and supervise other heavy equipment operators and general laborers on construction sites.
Heavy Equipment Operation:
Operate various heavy machines like excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, graders, and loaders to perform tasks such as earthmoving, grading, and material handling.
Safety & Compliance:
Create and maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA and company safety protocols.
Project Execution:
Read blueprints and specifications to plan work, determine grades and elevations, and ensure project completion aligns with project and client requirements.
Maintenance & Reporting:
Maintain equipment and report any maintenance needs, while also submitting accurate daily reports and production logs.
Troubleshooting:
Quickly identify and resolve any issues or problems that arise on the job site.
Essential Skills & Qualifications Experience:
A minimum of three years of experience operating heavy equipment is typically required.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of operating various heavy machinery, including knowledge of blueprints and construction specifications.
Safety Awareness:
Thorough knowledge of and adherence to all relevant safety standards and procedures.
Physical Fitness:
Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and possess excellent physical stamina.
Leadership Skills:
Ability to effectively lead and coordinate crews to ensure productivity and safety.
Communication:
Good communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and other personnel.
Valid License:
A valid driver's license is generally required. Company offers Health Insurance, Vision, Dental, Life insurnace to employees that would like to enroll after 90 days of employment. Paid vacation and holiday pay to all full time employees.
