Job Description

The basic function of the Crane Operator / Material Handler is to lift, move, and position loads, such as machinery, equipment, products, and solid or bulk materials. Also responsible for safely loading and unloading trucks/trailers and ensuring weights.
STARTING PAY WILL BE BASED ON EXPERIENCE
Requirements Preferred:
High School diploma or
GED Preferred:
(2) years experience as a crane operator, preferably in recycling environment Must have corrected vision that meets same requirements as a valid driver's license Have coordination between eyes, hands, and feet Principle Duties Operate material handler in a manner always ensuring safety for themselves, the customers and their co-workers. Adhere to all company safety policies. Lift, move, and position loads, such as machinery, equipment, products, and solid bulk material as needed. Load and unload trucks/trailers in a timely manner Service and maintain material handler daily using company resources. Upgrade non-ferrous out of shred/white goods pile. Ensure flow of traffic is handled as safely and efficiently as possible Uses any free time efficiently by working on ways to make the scrap metal recycling process more efficient and effective. Ensures the working areas are kept in a neat, orderly, clean, and hazard free condition Performs other duties and tasks as may be assigned by the
