Job Description

Title:
Engineer, Small Excavators (SMX) Hydraulics - 120536
Onsite/Remote:
Onsite Position In addition, you will: . Provide expert technical leadership to identify root cause, contain, and resolve product issues for the small excavator product family Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality, durability and cost of hydraulic systems and provide rapid response to factory and field issues Provide technical support to marketing, product support, manufacturing/assembly, quality and supply management organizations Support selection, design and development of hydraulic components and systems for current and future programs Occasionally travel to machines in the field to support root cause investigations and solution verification 2 or more years of Hydraulic Engineering experience performing analysis, testing and/or design work Knowledge of engineering principles of hydraulic system design, theory of operation, and troubleshooting Experience with 3D modeling tools to develop routed components systems Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying emerging issues, determining root cause, and driving corrective actions Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional and culturally diverse teams Experience with off-road equipment hydraulic design, simulation and troubleshooting Experience using MATLAB/Simulink for modeling control systems Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: BS in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent experience
