Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Operator and take charge of operating a wide range of construction machinery to bring large-scale stream bank stabilization projects to life! This energetic role is perfect for skilled individuals passionate about construction, safety, and precision. You will be responsible for maneuvering heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, dump trucks, water trucks, and other material handling machinery to ensure efficient project execution. Duties Operate various construction machinery including excavators, bulldozers (dozers), loaders, backhoes, cranes, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, and tankers with precision and safety. Conduct routine inspections and perform maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Follow all safety regulations and occupational safety procedures while handling heavy machinery and materials. Use hand tools and hydraulics systems effectively for minor repairs or adjustments on-site. Handle materials efficiently using appropriate material handling equipment to support construction activities. Adhere strictly to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to coordinate the movement of construction materials and equipment across the site. Maintain detailed logs of equipment operation, maintenance activities, and safety checks for accountability and compliance. Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, dozers, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks or similar equipment in a construction environment. Construction site experience with a solid understanding of construction processes and safety standards. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. Familiarity with hydraulics systems and the use of hand tools for repairs or adjustments. Knowledge of occupational safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and material handling.
