The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, excellent mechanical knowledge, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role involves operating equipment, ensuring safety standards are met, and coordinating project activities to ensure timely completion. Duties Operate excavators and other equipment safely and efficiently for plumbing and utility projects Oversee daily jobsite operations and ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications Lead and coordinate crew members, assigning tasks and maintaining productivity Perform trenching, backfilling, grading, and site preparation for underground plumbing and utility work Ensure proper installation of water, sewer, and storm lines Monitor jobsite safety and maintain a clean, organized work environment Communicate with project managers, inspectors, and crew to keep projects on schedule Identify and address jobsite issues or changes as they arise Perform basic equipment inspections and report maintenance needs Represent the company professionally on job sites
