J Roy Excavating is looking for a skilled, self-sufficient operator to join our team. This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone who knows their way around equipment, can think on their feet, and take ownership of a job from start to finish—without constant oversight.

What You'll Be Doing:

Operating excavators, loaders, and other heavy equipment Assisting with residential septic system installations Reading plans and helping lay out septic systems Establishing and checking grades and elevations Independently complete small excavation projects from start to finish

What We're Looking For:

Experience installing septic systems Strong heavy equipment operating skills Ability to read plans and understand site layout Experience working with grades, lasers, and elevations Someone who can anticipate the next step and keep projects moving Reliable, safety-minded, and detail-oriented

Bonus Points For:

Experience around crushing/screening equipment Mechanical ability

CDL A or CDL B What You Can Expect:
