Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to facilitate construction projects efficiently and safely. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with all safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment while contributing to impactful infrastructure development. Duties Operate heavy construction machinery including bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and dump trucks to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material handling tasks. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Follow all safety procedures and occupational safety regulations while operating machinery and handling materials. Assist with site preparation, including clearing land, digging trenches, and moving materials using appropriate equipment such as water trucks or tankers. Coordinate with team members to execute construction plans efficiently while adhering to project timelines. Use hand tools and hydraulics systems for minor repairs or adjustments on machinery as needed. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during operations. Qualifications Proven experience operating a range of construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, excavators, cranes (including crane operation), front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and farm machinery. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and equipment maintenance procedures. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving and safe driving practices. Familiarity with construction site safety regulations and occupational safety standards. Ability to perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs using hand tools. Construction site experience with a focus on safety procedures and PPE use. Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience handling material moving equipment such as forklifts or material handlers is a plus. Join us in building the future!
