Telehandler Operator - JOB SUMMARY The Telehandler Operator is responsible for operating a telescopic handler to move, lift, and position various materials across the facility. This role involves ensuring efficient and safe material movement while adhering to all safety protocols and equipment maintenance standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Equipment Operation:

Safely operate a telehandler (telescopic forklift) to transport materials, using attachments such as forks or buckets as required.

Pre-Operational Checks:

Complete comprehensive pre-operational safety checklists at the start of each shift and report any mechanical issues immediately.

Inventory Management:

Pull, stage, and load shipments as directed by supervision, ensuring all items are correctly identified and located.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate paperwork for shipments, receivables, and equipment logs.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all OSHA and company-specific safety standards, including the use of required PPE such as safety glasses and hearing protection.

Quality Control:

Conduct visual inspections of materials and pallets for damage or missing labels before movement.

Site Maintenance:

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including warehouse aisles and equipment storage areas.

Qualifications and Requirements Experience:

Minimum of 6-12 months of experience operating a Telehandler or high-capacity Forklift in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Certification:

Valid Telehandler/Forklift certification required; must be able to pass a site-specific driving test.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Skills:

Basic mathematical calculations and the ability to read and execute work orders and safety notices.

Reliability:

Must be punctual and available for potential overtime or flexible shifts as required by production needs.

Physical Demands Lifting:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis.

Stamina:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and squat for extended periods (8-12 hours per day).

Environment:

Must be comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to equipment noise. #ENG1P
