In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision on-site. Your expertise will help drive project success by managing equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, cranes, and trucks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your skills and expand your experience in the construction industry. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, cranes, and other machinery with precision and safety. Manage various types of trucks such as front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks to transport materials efficiently across the site. Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, loading/unloading materials, and other construction tasks as needed. Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely project completion. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, cranes, and related machinery. Construction site experience is essential; familiarity with various construction processes is highly valued. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on equipment. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience driving heavy-duty vehicles including dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, front loader trucks, and tanker vehicles. Ability to operate specialized machinery like concrete mixers and farm equipment when required. Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation in construction environments. Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) machinery or similar brands is preferred. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina for demanding tasks.
